Sent to a friendI am gay. I told myself I wasn't for years...that I was simply..a little bi. And I'm 37. I'd love to tell my elderly parents but it would destroy them.
My confession is simple and utterly pathetic.
I want a lover and I want to be out.
I wish I'd had the strength when I was an adolescent to have come out.
The truth would have been better for all of us.

You're 37. Who are you living your life for - your parents or yourself? If you haven't taken a woman home yet...don't you think your parents would've put two and two together by now? Your parents will get over it, and if not, fukkit...the world is more accepting of homosexuals now...you are missing out on life by closeting yourself. Don't regret and hate on the past, what matters is what you're going to do with your future.

- dude don't worry your parents already know you're gay! you're 37 single no kids, got no g/f then your parents are sure to know you're gay!, they would have hoped you'd given them some grand kids by now, just be sure to tell them yourself you're gay before they both depart this earth.
